The only thing is that if you are needing to do any bending over it will ride up and it's an obnoxious feeling, but that is part of why it works. It'll ride up if you're using bad posture and you will fix yourself. However, I wouldn't recommend this for anyone who needs to bend to lift things throughout the day as I would HATE that feeling! I needed it for sitting in a chair and it works wonderfully. 5Great support.I received this today, and love it! Gives good support, and I could tell it right away. My previous one was so uncomfortable and I so welcome the feel of this one. Sturdy made and fits well. Good product for the money. Pulls shoulders back and give upper back strong support. I looked at many before deciding on this one, so glad I ordered! I ordered a large, as in reading other reviews, it was stated that it ran small. Very good fit for a 155# 5'5". I would recommend! 5Sized too small - not sure about the mid back support - and I'm a chiropractorI'm a chiropractor and my wife has an arthritic spine with poor posture because of it. At her work she has to do some occasional lifting. I looked around and there are braces where you can spend hundreds - but if you can find something that works for less then why not give it a go? So this one looked like it might work - maybe. I ordered one based on her waist - according to the instructions on Amazon. She's about 30-inch waist (not hips). When it arrived she put it on - it fit - sort of. It's sized smaller than it states on the Amazon site. But I did notice her standing with better posture. She tried it for two days and decided she didn't like it.This brace comes with 2 coated-metal (I don't know what they're made from - either thin steel or aluminum) flat bars - you can see that in the Amazon photo (the lighter color black areas) which provide some mid back (thoracic) support. The two arm straps wrap around the shoulders, across the back, to the opposite waist. The instructions say to wrap it inside the back support but that doesn't work very well. Therefore wrap it around the outside of the brace. The lower brace is for lumbar support. Everything attached by velcro.I would wear it for a day or two or three to see how (or if) it works for you. And remember to squat when lifting - like a baseball catcher - and use your powerful legs instead of your weak back. Because you're wearing a brace doesn't give you the excuse that you can do things carelessly and get away with it.So I sent this one back and ordered similar but in a size medium. 2felt comfortable with this oneTo start, I have anklyosis spondilitisis, necrosis of left hip, partial spinal fusion. Without genetic history I found out in the ladder stages.Several yrs back I snapped my femur in the kitchen and fell and broke 2nd vertebrae in my neck, after 8 weeks rehab I ended up using a cane, without noticing I've been stooping forward adjusting to the new cane, I'm 175lbs, 5'10, athletic build... this has been a depressing change, I searched and base most of my purchased on reviews, felt comfortable with this one...After purchase I wore this immediately and noticed the difference, second day I felt comfortable with the new pull on my shoulders, my posture is better but still have ways to go.For the negative reviews on the comfort I can only imagine it's from body type, it fits tight to work, if you have a large abdomen (fat) it probably isn't going to feel well, it does ride up occasionally, but looking for some type of clip to attach to my belt... I would purchase this again and maybe venture in other makers.Only change I might see would be a larger pad on front shoulder area, maybe a gel pad, but then again I try to conciel this under my clothes 5Poor QualityI bought this back support on March 28,2018. It's now June 24, 2018 and product is falling apart. Im VERY disappointed in this product. I do wear it while working a physical job. But to be falling apart in this short of a time is unacceptable. They use vynal to hold metal rods(?) in. Poor quality. 1very good quality, sizing is all wrongI order this for my husband who has lower back issues. The quality is obviously very good compared to some others I have looked at. My only complaint is I had to return the first purchase as their sizing chart is off. The chart indicated the small fit waist size 27.5 - 33.9 My husband has a 29 inch waist and this cut into his waist and his lower rib so badly he could not bend or sit and was barely velcroed on at the ends. The medium one will work just fine. Just remember when ordering to order a size bigger than the sizing chart stats. 4Very good product and very comfortableI have a spinal compression injury due to a serious car accident several years ago. I have tried many back braces over the years but this one is probably the best. Even better than the one I got from the orthopedic doctor. As a full figured woman it can be very difficult to get a good fit not because of the length but because of the width but the fact that this goes around and over the shoulders keeps the brace in place for much longer period of time. I would definitely recommend this product and purchase it again 4Help posture and thoracic spine painI have to give this back support 5 stars because it does what it says it will do but it is very very hard to get used to wearing it because it pulls your back into a natural position and that is very painful after a couple of hours. I've got to gradually work up to wearing it more often and for longer times because it really does correct your posture and give great support and Contour to the thoracic spine and when you have problems with your thoracic spine already and then you put it back in place where it belongs it can be very difficult but I believe it's a good thing that it is doing despite the discomfort. I'm glad I bought it and I want to be able to wear it all day because I know it's helping and I know that in time it will not be uncomfortable because of the therapeutic good that it does. I am very happy with this purchase 5Great! Medium is very adjustable and fits me perfectly (44 chest, 32 waist)Great product! I tried two other posture correctors prior to this one. They did not have the waist strap, which I have found to be very much necessary. I have a lage back and chest (44) and a small waist (32), and the medium size fits me perfectly (it's very adjustable). 5Too tight in shouldersDoesn t fit well. Measurements on site are for waist. Using that it fits around waist but NOT shoulders. To small and tight around shoulders. There is no mention of shoulders in sizing info 1
