Ecoligical, and easy to maingainFor years, we have carried our own insulated cups from home. Even around the house, we use 40 ounce cups with lids for iced tea and soda. But I always felt guilty about plastic straws. Not to mention "interesting" things growing Inn the straws if they're not changed daily.I bought the stainless steel straws to combat the waste. They're great! First, there's the additional transfer of cold when the metal first touches your lip. It seems to increase the chess of the drink, even after it sits in a hot car for a while.Best of all is that they clean easily. A swish in the dishpan, a pass-through with the included brush (and if you're nervous about it, a little bleach can be added to the water, then the straw allowed to air dry for complete sanitation) 5Great for a 30 oz Stainless CupAs advertised, these straws are great for use with a 30 oz stainless insulated cup--these are skinny enough to fit in the little slider-gate in the plastic lid and allow plenty of liquid to flow through (I only use the cup for water and iced drinks like tea and soda, no thick soups). They do not have any flavor and do not impart any to your drink. They also seem to be very durable, so be careful not to stick the straw in your face when trying to find your mouth, your cheek might get a dent!Very good price as well and I am happy to say goodbye to one-use plastic straws, for the sake of the environment. 5Not sure about this productWhile the straws are of nice quality and nicely made, my concern is whether the inside is really clean or not (mold?). There is no way of knowing. Little brush will "clean" the inside, but bacteria or such buildup is unknown. I'm more for using paper straws for a better environment or will try "pasta straws" that I just learned about--yes, raw pasta! 3I thought they were to small in diameter, but actually they are just the right size.When I received the straws I thought they were to small in diameter, but decided I d just use two at a time if I had to. Turns out I only use one. I use my stainless steel tumbler everyday and the straw is perfect for me. I am really glad I bought this set. My only complaint is, the straw brush does not go completely through the straw, I just the one I was using for my plastic straw. It eorks great. I highly recommend these straws. 5Can't give up straws? Here is your alternative to plastic!Arrived on time in good condition. With the possibility of plastic straws becoming extinct I bought these for use at home and drinking out. They even include cleaning brushes that work really well. After all I would rather give up straws altogether than have them harm any of our ocean's wildlife, their extinction would be unforgivable. I will say that hard steel straws take a little getting used to, but worth it. I have reduced the amount of trash I am generating, how about you? 5Unlike another set of stainless steel straws I purchased these ...Unlike another set of stainless steel straws I purchased these were designed--God knows why--with the apertures curving in slightly so you get a smaller opening to draw in liquids. Been using then for a month or so and perfectly replaced our plastic straws! 5Small!These are much smaller in diameter than I expected. More like the diameter of a childs straw than an adult size. Still giving them 3 stars because the quality is decent and they will work for regular liquids but definitely not for anything thicker. The photo shows one of these next to a regular sized acrylic straw. 3TALL Metal Straws - Good for the earth && your walletWas looking for alternative multi-use/ECO friendly straws. Had previously been gifted multiple sets of plastic straws to accompany two of my favorite SBux tumblers; however, those straws seemed to experience some issues of warping. I did a lot of searching to balance cost to straws; and examined other "items" available (i.e. straw bags, silicone covers for tips, etc). I ended up selecting the 4straight/4bent 10.5" set here. The price was very much on the lower end, while still offering a substantial amount of straws. Package came as expected, 8 straws and 2 cleaning brushes. As others have noted they seem "smaller" than other straws, but upon use I don't notice them being difficult or any different. Easy to clean with the enclosed brushes.I would note however, even though I bought these to use with a large/tall tumbler (among other uses) - these are REALLY tall. Could likely have downsized to an 8" option - and been better suited to most standard uses I have in mind. Also, I was highly considering silicone covers - but upon using these I have experienced no issue with the metal / my mouth & teeth. (While you can of course purchase them as add-ons, I don't think they are truly that important/necc for most.) 5
