Terrible taste... shaker bottle is greatThe shaker bottle is great quality... the protein volume is a great value... the taste made me physically sick (and i really wanted it to work)... i tried adding everything under the sun... still wasnt my cup of tea 2Sooo very pleased with this product!!So I m kinda picky. Will definitely be ordering this again!! 5NastyNasty taste 4Terrible stomach painIt is a good flavor and tastes good with almond milk... but I started getting terrible stomach pains. I'm actually worried it may have caused something, I'm going to the doctor in a week (I promise I'm not a hypochondriac). I've been taking it for breakfast and lunch along with food for a little over a month (I took two scoops a day combined, then about three a day for the last couple weeks) before I correlated it with my stomach pains. I had just switched a prescription as I started taking it so I thought it was that. Well, I've been off the medication for three weeks now, and I still had continuing stomach pains and started getting irregular bowel movements. I travelled for holiday and didn't drink it for about three days and my stomach felt so much better. I started it up again and immediately my stomach started hurting again. Another woman left a review on here stating which ingredients were harmful and caused the same thing for her, so I did my own research to confirm and sure enough. Really disappointed, I try not to buy unless FDA approved, but I figured this would be fine since it is USDA organic. Unfortunately supplement products go so unregulated so I was excited to try this and thought maybe it'd be better quality. Won't be buying again and I have the added expense of a trip to the doctor. 1Very artifial sweet, sweet taste. Be alert to stomach problemsGave me stomach problems, and I can tolerate a lot. Caused me to go to the doctor. So add that to the price. I researched the reviews, and there is a few others who had the same problem.The taste is very, very!! artificially sweetened for the vanilla flavor, and it doesn't mix completely, you have to drink it fast or you will end up with disgusting sediments on the bottom of the bottle.If you are ok with very sweet flavor, you can try it, but be alert to any stomach problems. 1Finally found a way to like this.I bought this because I got tired of paying for the small, expensive, pre-made, big name diet shakes from the store. It seems to have somewhat similar nutritional content looking mainly a the carb counts.If you follow the directions the results may be so-so. I found it to be horrible tasting, with a weird aftertaste and very chalky/gritty. The 4-lb. cannister is HUGE and has a lot of servings so I had to find a way to drink it given the cost. Just couldn't toss it in the trash. (The shaker bottle is nice, but doesn't work that well.)I found a way that if I take: --- two cups of unsweetened vanilla almond "milk" --- two cups of strong brewed cold coffee --- two scoops of the protein powderPlace in blender, mix well, and let it sit in the refrigerator for a day, it is much more palatable. It makes about three decent sized servings. I've also substituted some of the coffee with ice for a same-day frozen smoothie and it seems to work well also.Out of the package, I would give this two stars, with some creative additions, I'll go with a 4. 4If you feel like wasting money..Okay, I'm not usually one to leave reviews, especially negative ones, on products. But THIS deserves one, and not a good one at that.First off, I have purchased the Orgain brand in stores and had hoped to find some online to order for convenience. My mistake for not checking the packaging closer.. as this is extremely similar to the Orgain Protein branding.That being said.. I could barely stomach this powder, and I can generally handle a lot. I wanted an organic vanilla protein to add to my cold brew coffee in the morning (makes for a cheap Iced coffee drink to start my morning). The texture of this is horribly gritty and the taste is even worse! I couldnt quite place my finger on it.. atleast not until my 5 YO cousin spat it out and told me it reminded him of his Play-Doh. *Light bulb*I've tried mixing this every way imaginable, and hoping that with time the taste becomes more bearable.. but alas.. my $40 seems to have gone to waste.Just this morning, I tried using this in a Pancake recipe.. and no matter how many cacao nibs or how much fruit I added.. I still couldnt get past the "Play-doh" aftertaste.The only place this powder belongs is In the trash. 1Terrible tasteI don't like hyperbole, so I won't say this is the "worst tasting protein ever," but it's the worst tasting protein I've ever had, personally. Eventually found ONE smoothie recipe that masked the taste: Peanut butter, spinach, vanilla flax or almond milk, and a little unsweetened baking cocoa. That's the only way I could choke it down. I'm finally done with the container, and couldn't be happier that it's over. This one is a skip. 2A BIG dealOk the shaker cup mouthpiece cover is a little hard to open and close. The tub of protein is HUGE though with a whopping fifty servings! (Plan not to buy protein for a while) the overall taste is ok. It's a bit gritty and mixes well with water. Overall it's a good tasting protein at a pretty decent price. 4Recommend to everyoneI really enjoyed this protein. Love the fact that it s plant based protein. Whey protein bloated me. This was my first plant based protein and I gained muscle. Lost weight and also the bloating completely stopped whenever I had my protein shake. And I love the shaker that came with it.
