Take This is You Don't Have A GallbladderIf you don't have your gallbladder, you need this. I had mine removed because of numerous large stones. Five months later I literally quit going #2 all together. After doing my own research I discovered my liver has not been functioning properly, therefore releasing very little bile for digestion. Since adding this to my diet it has helped tremendously! 5Gallbladder Dyskinesia- Ox Bile is incredibly helpfulAlmost a year ago I was diagnosed with "gallbladder dyskinesia". In a nutshell, my gallbladder is absent of stones, sludge, and inflammation; it just doesn't want to eject bile. It's also called a "lazy" gallbladder. My symptoms included: feeling excessively bloated after a normal sized meal, horribly foul, yellowish, loose stools/gas, in the morning I'd have urgent and nauseating spells to use the bathroom. Luckily it doesn't interfere with work or social outings but it is upsetting and there are important things bile does that I wasn't getting.I tried various supplements and the typical "gallbladder/liver health" combos you can buy without a lot of success. Finally I order this Ox Bile and things are normalizing. I noticed some improvement within three days, and several weeks in- my stools look very normal. I don't have terrible waves of nausea in the morning followed by an urgent need to use the bathroom. I don't notice any bloating or gas. Nor do I notice any side effects from this product.This really is a game changer for me! 5Helped me drop weightThis has helped me to lose 20 lbs in 2 months along with exercise and a low carb diet. 5Helps Clean the BileI bought this after reading several articles about how important is our bile, particularly when we're entering 55+ age. The constant recycling of that bile introduces all sorts of toxic sludge that doesn't get removed. Using a bile supplement allows for something similar to an oil change in a car, but with the body's liver and gallbladder. This is really a solid product, but you may only want to take it with large, fatty meals. I don't have a gallbladder, but haven't had any issues eating normally. Many people do, and they may need the supplement at every meal. For me, it works when I eat things like roast pork, fried chicken and so forth.Definitely take this in the middle of the meal. Don't take it before or after the meal. It also works a bit better with good-quality digestive enzymes, but they're not required. 5It's like she had a new lifeSince my wife had her gall bladder removed, she's been having bathroom problems, bloating and having to use the heat pad a lot. After researching this product, I ordered it and she gave it a try. It's like she had a new life. Everything is under control; no more running to the bathroom, no bloating and no heat pad. She feels 100% better and this product really works. Our doctor reviewed it and said it's perfectly fine. 5No Gallbladder + Constipation = Need ThisMost folks have diarrhea after gallbladder removal, because the excess bile produced that would usually store there is just constantly dumped into the intestines. For some, like me, however, we have the opposite issue: constipation. This has something to do with the liver producing less and less bile, and the gallbladder performing less and less. Usually the gallbladder dumps when fat is detected in the meal. However, if you got suckered into the high-carb fad of the 90's then you probably ate very little fat. Without much fat in your diet the gallbladder doesn't exercise and dump as much. This leaves it full of bile that stagnates into stones. I switched from a high-carb diet to an Atkins protein diet... and that's when I got gallstone attacks. My gallbladder had stagnated for so long it was just full of stones. My liver had also stagnated, and stopped producing much bile. I had my gallbladder removed in 2001, and since then it was a downward spiral of health issues. I slowly gained weight (200lbs to 300lbs). Joint issues, allergies, fatigue, constipation (which eventually turned foul as bacteria overgrew my system)... the issues mounted. Doctors told me it was because I didn't exercise and was gaining weight. All of the research I did pointed to fatty acid deficiency. I craved fatty foods, so I ate them a lot. I didn't digest very well, so I was bloated for hours after a meal and burping it up and not wanting to do anything. I was gaining weight, so obviously I was digesting fat in a way to store it, but I always felt like I wasn't getting something from my food. I'd eat lean meats and felt like they were cardboardish, like they were missing something. (The fat I was craving). So, one day I decided to get some bile supplement. Turns out it's a pain in the rear to find it (no health stores want to carry it for some strange reason). But, it was what I needed. First, bile is digestive aid that helps your body process fatty acids and fat soluble vitamins in a way that it can use them instead of just store them. Likewise, bile is part of the digestive system's flushing process. Without it, the normal bacteria in your system starts to get out of control. (Exacerbated if you're taking probiotics). The main problem with this product (as some have stated) is that the dose is very high. 500mg is a lot for some of us, as we end up with the runs. 250mg would be great, but they don't make that dose. I've tried other bile supplements (cholacol, etc) and they just don't work like Nutricology's. I take one 500mg capsule once a day, trying to dose it with my fattiest meal. I also take all of my vitamins at that meal (since it helps utilize the fat soluble vitamins). One pill is enough. When I eat lean meat now I no longer feel like something is missing, and I no longer crave fat and tank up on it (which was an overcompensation method of the body to get something it was missing). My body flushes itself out, so bacteria is kept in check and i no longer suffer when eating fermented foods. Food digests in a timely manner, so I'm no longer bloated and burpy and immobile for hours on end waiting for it to digest. Energy level is up. Mental clarity is up. Fatty acids and fat soluble vitamins are critical to health, and you don't realize that until you've been suffering with deficiency for years. I sometimes run out of the supplement, and forget to order more. I don't notice an immediate issue. Instead it's a matter of a month or two that I end up on this downward spiral ... I gain weight, don't digest well, start craving fat, overeat fatty foods ... and I'm wondering why I feel so miserable. Then I remember I stopped taking the supplement because I ran out. I order more, it shows up, and within days I'm feeling better. It's ridiculous that my liver has decided to shut down production so much that I need to take a supplement, but at least I'm one of the few that knows what's going on and has found a fix. 4Very pleased with this wonderful productI went on the Keto diet a few months ago with no success. The diet made me very sick at my stomach. The reason was I have no gallbladder to handle a high diet. I still wanted to do Keto though, so I did some research on the net and found I needed bile to break down the fat. That's when I discovered Bile Ox. What a God send this product has been to me. I take it first thing before eating my high fat breakfast and now I don't get sick anymore. I can stay on my Keto diet and loose weight with ease. Very pleased with this wonderful product. 5Amazing for gallbladder!I've been having severe gallbladder attacks and horrible ibs symptoms. I have a potential surgery coming up. I read about these helping digestion post-gallbladder surgery and gallbladder issues. I was worried about taking the high dose, but it didn't bother me. These are miracles! Through diet, and with oz bile acid reflux, ibs symptoms, nausea, rib/chest pressure got a million times better! Hoping I won't need to have surgery, but either way these are great for gallbladder issues! 4Excellent product!I'm so glad I gave ox bile a try! I had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago & since that time I had issues with sluggish digestion. I went from being very regular to not being able to go much at all & I was dealing with regular acid reflux. After I started taking ox bile my reflux is all but gone & my digestion is back to "normal" as much as it can be without a gallbladder. I wish more doctors would recommend supplements after gallbladder removal because it would have saved me a lot of stomach aches. I usually take 2 doses per day instead of 3, it can make me gassy & have loose stools. But I definitely notice if I forget to take a dose! 5I still have my gallbladder and need to take 1-2 at most every mealThis was reccomended to me years ago by a natural health practitioner. I m 32 years old with multiple health issues, digestive: IBS, constipation, toxin build up, inadequate detox pathways etc. I ve dealt with fibro, CFS, CIRS/Mold Illness, Candida, MCS, etc. My mother had her gallbladder out at 28 so genetically speaking I m prone and susceptible to gall bladder disease but just because we are genetically predisposed doesn t mean that s our fate! Genetics are the loaded gun and our environment aka in this instance what we put into our body is what pulls the trigger.When I last had an ultrasound about 5 years ago I was told I had serious sludge going on (in my 20 s). I eat for the most part very healthy and am very health conscious. I take 1, 500mg with most meals (containing fat, carbs and protein.) I m to the point where I need to take 2 at larger meals, (1000mg.) I do notice a difference in stool color. If you are squeamish or don t want to hear more stop reading now! ..... This was one thing I didn t hear and would have liked to when reading reviews because this is how I know I m not digesting fats, from stool color, consistency and frequency.So I was having yellowish, tan or light light brown colored stools and often would have white spots of chunks in my stool aka inability to digest fats. Often times when I take this I have darker brown stools, have better consistency, ease of release and am less constipated in general I just feel better! Yay! For someone who has struggled with digestive issues for 20 years this does make a difference but I am concerned at the increase in dosing as I haven t heard of ppl taking it at most meals and taking 1000mg. I started at 250mg and that is what I would suggest to those starting with this, you can take apart the capsule and dump some out which is what I did. The result of taking too much is diarrhea. Which did happen to me when I did not take with fats many years ago. Also I do take this with a digestive enzyme to help break down the food as all ox bile does is help to release the bile stores in your gallbladder. I hope this review and info helped some of you!! 4
