I've been using cane-stools like this for over two decades as stools for travelingI've been using cane-stools like this for over two decades as stools for traveling. This is the best model I've ever had. I've bought three so that I can put one in each car and have a third for the house and yard. I'm not able to walk enough to assess its utility as a cane, but it does OK in that regard for occasional use. I would guess that if you use a cane a lot and didn't particularly need a stool, this type of aid wouldn't be your best choice. But as an easily portable stool, this is the best device I've encountered. 5leg of seat breaks off, dropping seated person onto floor in bangverified user, 200 pounds, was using with success until yesterday when a leg snapped totally off, dropping me plop on the ground. Not injured, but easily could have been. Among other things, the broken off leg of device could have stuck into me. This thing is a dangerous piece of junk. you may be liable for selling it. 1Better than a scooter!LOVE THIS!! Never would have made it through a day at Disney World with my grand babies without it! 5Not stable, caution if purchasing for older adultBought this as a travel aid for my mother. When it arrived it seemed very light and something she might use. Then I opened it up and tried sitting on it. Seat was very small, and legs were very wobbly. I checked to make sure they were locked into place correctly and they were. Between small seat and being unstable there was no way I could give it to an 80 year old woman to use. Be careful if you buy this. "Might" work for very small, light adult, but no way it even comes close to safely supporting 200 lbs. 1My Folding Seat CaneI love my cane/stool. Item details - NOVA Medical Products Folding Seat Cane 1Exactly what we needed.I bought this cane/seat for my wife who was recently diagnosed with sciatica and arthritis. She has trouble standing for any length of time. We bought this specifically to attend the Cannes, France, International Film Festival because we knew we would be in long lines. It was invaluable! So many people told my wife they wished they had one like it. She was the only person out of thousands who had one. It is light, doesn't take up much room and is useful as a cane sometimes, particularly going down steps. We packed it in a large suitcase, because we didn't want it confiscated by TSA personnel at the International airports. We probably could have obtained specific permission. We have since used it on a trip to Washington, DC., by coach. Again, it was extremely useful, although to say it was a life-saver would be stretching it. Well worth the money. BTW, I scrolled through many similar cane/seats before choosing this one. I'm sure I made the right choice. 5As advertisedI received this item in a timely manner. It is as I expected it to be, and it's a great help for an old lady that needs to take a break in unlikely places. Most stores do not have resting areas where you need them, and it causes me much pain to have to continue to a particular place, with this cane, I can just sit down out of the way a rest for a few minutes. 5Unsafe productI purchased this seat for someone who is an avid golfer for their 70th birthday and mostly so he could use it at his grandson's baseball games. I purchased it at the beginning of May and after only 2 uses, the main frame snapped and broke and threw him backwards onto the ground. We are talking about someone with two replaced hips. He was sore and had trouble getting up. He is well within the weight limit as proscribed. This product is dangerous and should be taken off the market. Do not buy it. I should have known that anything made in China was a piece of junk. I am looking to get my money back at the very least and maybe even sue. 1
