Thoroughly ImpressedI have been on the hunt for a good plant-based meal replacement and have had some major fails. I have tried tons of different brands, including the popular ones like Vega, and found all of them to have excellent ingredients and nutrition but horrendous taste. It seems like the fall within one extreme or the other, lightly sweetened sawdust or stevia overload. I saw this brand came highly recommended for taste on a fitness website so I thought I'd try it. I was happy to have a different flavor option besides chocolate and vanilla and the price was way better than some of the ones I had tried. I have to say, this is the holy grail of vegan meal replacement for me. I am not a vegan but I drink use meal replacement shakes for breakfast when I don't have time to make it. I prefer vegan powders as dairy really upsets my stomach. I like how much protein and fiber is in this powder and the added bonus of digestive enzymes and probiotics to help keep your digestive system healthy. It seems to have everything I was hoping for in a powder with the major bonus that I don't want to gag when I drink it! I'm sold for life. 5Bad batch! Tastes like paint!If I could I would give this zero stars. I m so disappointed. Seems I got one of the nasty jugs other reviewers were talking about. I ve never used MRM products and this is a really bad way to start. The stuff seriously tastes like garbage. I can force myself to eat things I don t like...but this is so unnatural tasting there s no way. I would guess it s what drinking paint would taste like. With a crazy weird level of fake sweetness. I haven t contacted anyone about this yet as it s been a busy weekend...but I will be tracking down someone who can help fix this! 1keeps you full & healthy!I bought this brand of protein powder after I ran out of my tub of Orgain. The chocolate fudge Orgain powder tastes better than this MRM one, but this brand & formula keeps me full all morning long which is while I'll be buying it again. The taste of this powder is pretty good & it has good nutrition. Other protein powders taste more like a sweet treat than a long lasting meal replacement. I'll definitely be buying from MRM again! 5Best value, tastes great!Great meal replacement. I am super busy and need breakfast on the go sometimes. I don't eat fast food so this product does the trick. I have tried many shakes from shakeology to isagenix and sprouts brand. I became unable to pay $80-$100/month and turned to amazon for reviews and a much better price. This meal replacement is definitely the best price with great reviews and also tastes great. I don't have to mix it with anything other than water. If I want to I can add anything I want to change the flavor. A banana will be thickening and delicious. I will add peanut butter at some point and almond butter also. I can imagine adding orange and banana, tasting my favorite childhood splurge, orange julius. MRM tastes great and has the 20 gram veggie protein per single scoop I was looking for in a 30 day supply and is affordable. Sweetener blend without sugar is genius. Like Raw Meal, my appetite is satisfied from 4-5 hours plus after single serving. Losing fat in midsection as well. My new workday lunch. 5So disappointed :(I used this product for about year, faithfully buying it every single month. I loved it. The taste was amazing, the texture was fine. Everything was great. Until I got a very, very disgusting batch of it. When I drank it, it burned my throat as it went down and I was burping up the disgusting taste all day. I returned it. But I loved the product so much, I just had to give it one more try. I wasn't ready to give up yet. So I ordered it again. And sure enough, that batch was horrid as well. I'm not sure what happened, but I am very disappointed :( 1A bitter (hah) disappointment.I really wanted to like this, and I...don't *hate* it...It blends really quickly and easily, which I appreciate. It's thick and a bit grainy, but I expected that and am not complaining. It's not too sweet, which is a miracle in the US. The vanilla flavor is natural, thank heaven. And it is filling/sustaining.The problem is, there's something bitter in it, and I can't get past it. No matter what flavors I blend in (I had high hopes for making a pseudo horchata by adding cinnamon and extra vanilla, and the chocolate and nutmeg could have been excellent), the bitter taste is still there and prominent. Less of an issue but still not ideal, it sort of stings the back of my throat. I don't know if that's enzymes or what. It doesn't leave it sore or anything, it's just a weird sensation and not one I especially want.Basically, it's bitter, and not in a fun nippy sort of way like arugula. It's bitter like a pill crushed and mixed into the applesauce that's supposed to disguise it and always, always fails. 2Used to be great - Now it's terribleThis used to be a great product. About 4 months ago I received a "bad batch." I contacted the company, they explained something about they received some bad protein and that they would replace my "bad batch" with good protein. They did, and what they sent was great. But, how did the "bad batch" get out in the first place? And there are a lot of bad reviews on this product, so obviously, a lot of the "bad batch" was produced and shipped out. How did MRM miss this problem and how did they let it get out of the factory?I finished the good product they sent me, and needed to order a replacement. Surely the problem was fixed by now. I mean how many bad reviews and complaints has the company received? How many orders have they had to replace? Sadly, the order I received on 26 April 2018 is a "bad batch." It smells like paint or chemicals. There is no way I would consume this product. 1Product and Quality Control Suspect...I had purchased this product in Vanilla on two prior separate occasions and did not have any issues with it. My last order and subsequent replacement order sent by Amazon were bad. Upon reading several posts where reviewers mention the product tasting sour , clumpy and caused a burning sensation when swallowing , I thought it was probably anisolated incident and had already been addresed by the company. Apparently there is still a quantity of material floating around that was made with bad ingredients. Why the company has not alerted its suppliers and pulled all this product out of circulation is surprising?Since there is no way of knowing whether or not you will be one of the unfortunate ones to receive the bad product, I would recommend you either steer clear all together or check the Lot # of the product you receive. The specifics for the Vanilla mix I found to be clumpy, sour tasting and difficult to swallow was LOT # VG17313 07/2020.***Update***I contacted MRM and spoke with a representative. I explained my concern with my last two orders, and commented on how my previous orders of the product were fine and that I really liked the product. The MRM representative listened, expressed concern and sent a replacement product which is fine and of the quality I was used too. 5
