Product Description Product Description
  • Relieves back pain -- Mother-To-Be relieves strain on muscles and ligaments by transferring the weight of the abdomen to the spine where it can be carried naturally. Relief is immediate.
  • Relieves abdominal muscle and leg pain -- Mother-To-Be lifts and supports the abdomen, reducing pressure at the pelvis and improving circulation in the legs. Pressure on the sciatic nerve is relieved and sciatica is reduced within minutes.
  • Stabilizes the Pelvic Ring -- The normal softening of ligament during pregnancy can cause discomfort, often as SI pain. Mother-To-Be gently compresses the pelvic ring, restoring its integrity and reducing pain.
  • The Abdominal Lift Pad -- The large, cushioned Velcro pad is contoured to provide lift with no undesirable abdominal compression. Once the two ends of the support are attached, the weight of the enlarging abdomen is transferred back to the spine.
  • Accepts Molded and Soft Lumbar inserts.

Customer Reviews

Is it me, or is NOTHING comfortable right now? Including this thing.Okay, first the good news: I bought this based on other people's reviews that remarked that the brace is good especially for athletic type stuff you may want to continue (in moderation) while pregnant. And yes, for my 6 mile walks, it definitely holds my belly in place. Prior to getting it, I would get cramps on the sides of my belly from the motion of walking.I wanted it for work, too, because I get back aches while leaning forward to work at my desk for 8-10 hours. It turns out that this is not a good item for me because I use a stand/sit desk (tall for standing, with a really tall chair). The standing/sitting throughout the day, usually every 20 minutes, causes my pants to move around and end up bunching under the brace in a bulky way that I can't fix without taking the brace off entirely and putting it back on.I tried tightening the brace so that my pants will slide back over the top when I stand up, but I usually have to do some embarrassing belly brace, jeans and shirt lifting/fixing every time I change sitting positions.I think the problem is that if the brace is tight enough that my jeans slide over the top of it, it really feels like it's indenting on my lower belly. It makes me feel like it's not safe for the baby because it cuts so hard into my belly. The baby move a LOT when I have this thing on. I'm not sure that's good. Also, about 5 days after I bought it, one of the main seams is ripped about 4 of the 6 inches it takes up. The brace still functions, but it's barely holding together. I would return it to the manufacturer, but I am on a bit of a time crunch, and really don't have time to be returning things and watiting for replacements if the thing still works. But I have no idea how long it will hold together. To put the whole thing in context, I am 5'9" and I usually weight 150#. I doubt I am putting much duress on the belly brace with my height/weight proportions, so I don't understand why it ripped after 5 days and is so hard to use in general. My belly is big enough to need it and hold it down. I am measuring at 30 cm at 7 months and the darn thing still slides around.I have no idea if I'd recommend this product, since I don't know how other products measure up. I guess it works sometimes, but only if I'm not standing then sitting, then standing. So yes, if you are doing athletics or standing for long periods of time, this might be the brace for you. 2Life saver!I purchased this primarily to use on our vacation to Disney World. I was 31/32 weeks pregnant during our trip and couldn't walk much without quite a bit of discomfort. I LOVE this product and plan to use it through the remainder of my pregnancy. I only wear it when I'm being active. It's especially nice when I'm playing outside with my child and cleaning house.I don't have any issues with the velcro catching on clothing and it doesn't slide. I also wear full panel maternity shorts, so it hasn't irritated my skin since the majority of it is against my clothing. Be sure to read size information carefully...I nearly ordered a large and am glad I did not. You can tell that you're wearing something under your clothing, but this doesn't bother me at all. When I'm pregnant, it's all about comfort! I strongly recommend this item for the late second and (so far) third trimesters. I wish I had owned this with my first child! 5Great for standing/walking - uncomfortable sittingThis brace was recommended by my physical therapist since I have scoliosis and started getting thorasic back pain about 5 months into pregnancy. I have the most discomfort when sitting, so the brace combined with lumbar support (i.e. pillow or towel) does alleviate this, however the bottom of the brace cuts into my legs when sitting which can just be uncomfortable. If standing or walking around, the brace is great and provides a lot of support. 4Good back supportI read as many reviews as I could before purchasing this one and still wasn't sure if it would be a good support. I'm used to wearing a stretchy velcro closure back brace for lower back support when I work out on my farm. I'm under 30 but have had lower back problems in the past. This brace is similar to the kind I've used before and is adjustable to your needs. If you're looking for lower back support and have worn a generic type of back support (not over the shoulder strap kind) before then this one is a very similar pregnancy one. Before getting pregnant I was about 160 (muscular but some belly fat), 5'9 and this size medium during pregnancy is working very well. I'm at 71/2 months now and I'm sure it will fit up to the end. 5Great support! This belt has been a lifesaver for me this pregnancy! I've had back pain off and on, and when I use the belt, especially on days that I'm on my feet longer periods of time, it saves me so much pain! It isn't complicated to learn how to use- just has more pieces than I had hoped. But it's a good design and does a great job supporting the weight of a growing baby belly! 5It was essential. My belly was huge. My back hurt. This was a lifesaver. And totally sexy. (Just kidding) 5Very helpful for me!I didn't but this tell my last 6 weeks of pregnancy but I wish I would have gotten it sooner. I had to do something for work (I was working as a occupational therapist assistant) and I was on my feet on and off all day. My baby was 9lbs 10oz at birth so I have big babies. This belt was the only way I was able to work the last 6 weeks. I had to work up until 2 days before I had my son. My back did still hurt during the last few weeks but it was so much better with the belt. Also I always wore a tank top so it wasn't itchy at all to me. 5Helped with my sciaticaI am 6 months pregnant and am a nurse working full time. I run around on my feet for nearly all of my 12+ hour shift. About a month ago I started having really painful sciatica which some days nearly dropped me to the ground. I searched the internet for what women were recommending. This is what I came up with. I was a little worried that it was less than decent quality as it looked like the product pictures were just taken in someone's house. The first day I used it, I did have some low back pain that was just a dull ache but low and behold, no sciatica! The next shift I used it, I did not have the low back pain from the first day nor did I have sciatica. It seems that I have found a good solution. My complaint however is that it takes a little extra time to take it off and put it one when you need to use the restroom. I suppose if you used it on bare skin maybe you could avoid that but I always have a thin layer of clothing in between the brace and my skin. All in all though, worth it! 4Was recommended by my physical therapistWas recommended by my physical therapist. It provides great support but practicality of it leaves something to be desired. You have to wear it over clothing of some sort whether it is a camisole or the front panel of maternity jeans that you wear it with. I say this because the material is SUPER itchy and uncomfortable if you don't. However, be warned that if you wear it over the front panel of maternity jeans you will have to remove the ENTIRE BELT every time you use the restroom. Which, as all pregnant ladies can agree with, is often... I don't think it looks super bulky under clothing as some people suggest but of course if you are wearing a tight fitted top you will be able to see it. It does it's job in helping lift and support but it can be a total pain in the backside at the same time. 3I feel like it's constricting more than it is supportingThis is not the actual product Mother-to-be-Maternity so I'm unhappy that I was mislead to believe that it was. Although it was fast shipping, I was unhappy with the product itself, I feel like it's constricting more than it is supporting. 2
