Customer Reviews

PerfectIt's perfect. The sizing and comfort level.. a lot better than the one the hospital gave me... everything they described! :) 5Works great, lasted through 3 days of 25k steps with a grade 2 sprain!Grade 2 ankle sprain a week before a trip to Disneyland landed me in a predicament. Found this boot online and opted to try it instead of a wheelchair! I ordered a size small for a size 8.5 women shoe (based on a couple recommendations from others to size down) and it fits great. My giant calf makes the upper velcro part slightly off center but I made it work. The boot itself is sturdy, it is not too heavy to walk around in thankfully, and holds my foot and ankle really snug and secure especially with the air pump to inflate it a little. I walked 25,000+steps each day of my trip in 80+degree weather, the padding wicked moisture surprisingly well and didn't leave me a sweaty mess. It was easy to maneuver around, protected my injury, and overall made my trip actually enjoyable. The extra padding pieces may come in handy for others, I didn't need them. I didn't notice any discomfort in any spots from rubbing or lack of padding. The boot is great! If it helped me to walk 75,000 steps in 3 days with a nasty ankle sprain that's the best recommendation I can think of. 4OCEAN & Pool USUABLE, wonderful item! Can use in Ocean/pool with care....Fractured 4 bones metatarsal and no cast but needed this boot. Vacation already planned. After 2 days stairring at the Ocean could not take any longer, went in with boot. It wants to float so beware, is heavy with water coming out. Just bend your knee let water drain from toe area for a few. It will smell if you don't wash with soap from salt water. The downside is it doesn't dry fast. I wore mine wet, out with a plastic bag to keep my fresh elastic wrap dry. Then I decided to order another boot for going out. This price is fantastic that you can buy 2 and still be cheaper than supply stores.Holds up great, doesn't affect the inflation at all. I searched all over for ideas and only thing I found was a plastic cover but I wanted to go in water to my neck. So my suggestion if your pool or beach bound get 2 boots, 2 elastic wraps and maybe a waterproof boot cover. Cover helps with sand in dry boot but not needed if you have 2 boots one wet & one dry. Great product! And my second boot was a direct order from Marrs comany to my condo in Florida. They shipped overnight for me at my expense but like I said I enjoyed my vacation.Hope this helps vacationers! 5DO NOT BUY - TOTAL piece of junk!Absolute junk. I wore this for two days while on a business trip. The air release valve is at a terrible spot where the Velcro strap constantly rubs on the valve and releases the air from the boot. The strap of Velcro rubbing on the valve has made a hole in the strap. The boot is worthless without the air in it to securely hold your foot/ankle. I was on a 4 day trip and only wore it two days, I was risking more injury to my foot by it moving around in the boot without the air. I ended up using the orthopedic shoe that my doc had given me instead, just until I got back home and could get a REAL boot that wasn t a piece of junk. The problem with the air valve releasing air and the Velcro deteriorating is a common problem, I was in a time crunch and needed the boot by Friday, I ordered on a Tuesday night, otherwise, I would have ordered from a more trusted brand and seller. 1Good walking bootVery nice for rehabbing back from an injury. If you can put weight down on your foot this is a nice boot to get back walking.I broke my fibula and had ankle surgery.I wore this after getting my stitches out (2 weeks post op). I couldn t walk on it for 5 weeks but doc told me to keep it in the boot to protect it and keep stable. It was especially helpful because the soft interior that wraps your leg can un strap from the hard exterior if you want (I did this to sleep and relax in bed). The air pump is nice to tighten up the brace. But if you pump it too tight it becomes uncomfortable on the shin. All in all great purchase 5Great product for a great price!I was diagnosed with a stress fracture, and tendonitis in August. The pharmacy was going to charge me nearly $300 for the boot! I found this for less than $50, and couldn't be happier. I have worn it daily now, for almost 6 weeks, and it has held up very well. The velcro straps WILL start to fray after a short while, and this is simply due to the constant taking it on and off, etc. (This is NOT a design flaw, etc., it's simply the nature of velcro. I simply cut off the frayed strings as they appear, and it hasn't affected the performance at all. The ONLY reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is for the following:*The velcro on the flaps that folds over the top of the foot and around the ankle seems like it could be stronger. After 6 weeks of use, even after "de-fuzzing" it, it still doesn't hold very strongly on it's own (though, the outside straps of the actual boot part DO keep it closed).* I generally wear an 8 or 8.5 in women's shoes, and I ordered the small shoe. Length wise, it is perfect. The only issue I've had is that even with having high arches, there is still a bit of a gap between the middle velcro strap that goes over the foot and connects to the outer boot, and the top of my foot. I usually wear two pairs of socks, and/or add a folded washcloth or piece of material for extra padding, so that it fits tighter. My BIGGEST complaint with this product is the location of the air-release button. It has a small flip cap on it, that flips up (if you have the boot on, and are looking down at your foot). I have found that when I have to be up walking for longer periods of time, the flip-cap tends to catch on the velcro strap below it and flips open. Which then does allow small amounts of air to escape. I'll start to notice that the boot feels looser, etc., and every time, this is the issue. I don't know if all the air-release caps are positioned this way, or if it is just random. I've tried to twist it around, thinking maybe I could just move it so the cap flips DOWN instead of up, but it doesn't move. So if they made that minor tweak to the the design of the boot, I would definitely give it 5 stars! In all, it is a great, high-quality product for a great price! 4Great for arthritis of forefoot and break in foot bonesI have both forefoot arthritis and a break in the metatarsal bones. This boot really helps to keep the foot stabilized so I can walk without any pain. The air pump works great to keep the boot tight around your foot so you re foot isn t moving all over the place. It comes with 4 extra pads that you can place anywhere you need them for a more customized fit ( I didn t need them with the air pump ). It is bulky of course but doesn t feel like you have a ton of weight on the foot. You will need an even-up shoe device for your other foot so be sure to use it so your gait doesn t become so uneven that you will have pain in other body parts after extended use of the boot. This boot has a slight rocker bottom that really helps in walking. 5I think no one is ever happy wearing one of theseI am using this for treatment of plantar fasciitis and tendon inflammation. The bottom has no padding at all,so while it does immobilize and provide support, my heel hurts without padding. I added a flat gel insert, which helps but still doesn't provide enough padding. Additionally, while the air pump works well to tighten the boot, the valve that releases the air is directly under the middle velcro strap. As a result, the strap pushes the cap off and releases the air. The cap rubs against the velcro and after only a month, the velcro is tearing. I think no one is ever happy wearing one of these, but overall this boot will probably only last another couple of weeks before the velcro is completely torn. If you need it for longer than about 6 weeks, get a different boot. 1Recommended by a fellow ligament tear victim. It came late due to an error, It literally just stayed in one location, and updated me that I would receive it 2 weeks later. Pissed at the news I went ahead and ordered from a different seller. Then both boots arrived the same day same time, which was lovely. I went ahead and kept this one, due to the material and inflating features. It supported my ankle better then the one I was given at the hospital, and helped with the healing. If it wasn't for the miserable shipping experience I wouldn't have given it 5 stars. 5Excellent!!!I got a med, I wear a size 9 (womens) there is a full inch plus. I had no problem inflating and keeping it inflated. Just do it prior to securing the 2nd strap. I read that the Velcro on others wear fast, mine are super secure. It is mid shin. I ordered a pair of socks from amazon, that are for the boot. I thought because they seemed thick they would be hot. They are super comfy (even w menapause). Get them because the boot will stink otherwise! 5
