Great results for meI'm amazed with my results! Since 1980's my cholesterol was 210s. Between 2008-2016 it has ranged between 259-288, my doctor has prescribed Statins which I never took. Over the years I have tried many different herbs, remedies, ACV and etc. Nothing else made a difference until I tried this. I used it for 6 months before I had my lipids tested. I know cholesterol isn't the only one that matters, but all 6 of the panels are vastly improved. I hope you have the same type of results. 5 Lowered my cholesterol by 55 point!I've been struggling with my cholesterol for the last year. After trying a couple of different statins with no luck I decided to give this stuff a try. I can't believe how well it works. I've been taking it for the last 6 months and it's help me lower my cholesterol by 55 points! It's now in the normal range...no statins for me 5Confirmed by blood test, it really works!Had a blood lipid panel done by my doctor last year, and was told my LDL cholesterol levels were too high, and HDL's were too low. After a few months, I began taking this supplement in hopes it would help, so I've now taken it for 8 months straight. Now I just had my yearly exam done last week, and my doctor called me today to tell me that my LDL levels were down 30 points! Very exciting news for me, considering I had never changed my diet, or exercise level in this time span.No side effects, positive OR negative to speak of, it feels like taking nothing at all.As for HDL levels, this won't help for that, however I'm to understand Omega-3 supplements will do the trick in increasing those. 5Highly recommend!When my cholesterol test showed it was a little high I bought this. Withing 2 months, it was completely normal, without changing what I eat. I love that it has the CoQ10 in it, which you are supposed to take with Red Yeast Rice. I have highly recommended this product to friends and I continue to take it. 5THIS STUFF WORKSI've had a genetic history of high cholesterol in my family so when my cholesterol finally hit 300 I knew I had to take action. I wasn't keen on taking Lipitor and dealing with the potential side effects so on a coworker's recommendation (he's a clinician) I took the red yeast rice pills. 4 months later when I got my followup lipid test I was floored and so was my doctor. My 302 total cholesterol had dropped to 244 in 4 months! My LDL went from 206 to 167. My cholesterol is still considered high but it was a dramatic improvement. No complaints here whatsoever. 5added bonus no side effects like with the statinsBy advice of my heart doctor I started taking RYR. I could not tolerate statins. Last time I had blood work my Cholesteral was 308 within a month and a half it was down to 283. Hdl had gone from 41 to 43. Triglycerides from 346 to 287 and ldl from198 to 183. Looking forward to see how much it drops in 3 more months. Oh, added bonus no side effects like with the statins. 5Works well and made in the USAThis red yeast rice with Co-Q10 is a great combination, I feel like it has really worked well for me, my resting blood pressure was always around 120/80 at home, it's now been around 110/75, as you can see, I've had a drop of about 10 on the systolic number and about five on the diastolic number, it's very inexpensive when compared to traditional pharmaceuticals and the best part is it's all natural and made in the USA. Works well and made in the USA. I have recommended it to a few of my friends that have borderline blood pressure and cholesterol. I haven't had a chance to go back and get my blood test to see how my cholesterol is but it's worth it alone for the blood pressure for me and I'm hoping for the best on the cholesterol, I will update when I get a chance to get another blood test. They proudly say manufactured in USA, but after some persistent digging, they explained the RYR is harvested in China. There are other brands who safely harvest and manufacture in the USA. 1Could Cause Same Muscle Pains and Aches in Some Folks... Just Like Statins...I don't like to write poor reviews, however, here is my own honest, personal experience, since using this Jarrow Red Yeast Rice product, I tried to use this product to avoid the pitfalls and known problems with Statin drugs that my Dr. wants to put me on. Since trying this homeopathic product, I have personally been experiencing horrible, aching joint pains in my inner elbows and I can barely lift a commuter coffee cup without shooting pains going up my arms. The pains also keep me awake at night for hours on end (hello - insomnia...). I also have experienced a brain fog and underlying forgetfulness that is just flat-out strange for me. When I went back to have my Cholesterol re-checked about 2-1/2 months later, by bad cholesterol was actually elevated higher than it previously was - and my "good" cholesterol levels had decreased/gotten worse. After this, I have researched online a lot (okay, endlessly) about lowering my cholesterol and have since found and read (and highly recommend) Jonny Bowden, Ph.D and Dr. Stephen Sinatra's book (sold here on Amazon), "The Great Cholesterol Myth" instead: The Great Cholesterol Myth: Why Lowering Your Cholesterol Won't Prevent Heart Disease-and the Statin-Free Plan That Will. Dr. Mercola also has an excellent article on this Red Yeast Rice subject, entitled, "Why You Should Avoid Red Yeast Rice" (google it). As with any supplement, every body is different, and your mileage may vary. I am hopeful that I will be able to undo some of the damage that I have done. Good luck to you. 1Doesn't work - found another red yeast rice brand that doesUsed this for a year with zero improvement...none. In my experience this product simply does not work. My guess is that perhaps it does not contain enough lovastatin as needed to lower cholesterol.Did my research and found that there is drastic (like 1,000%) differences in strength (lovastatin contents) between different RYR products/brands.After no improvement using this Jarrow product, I bought the one with the highest lovastatin content as tested and recommended by Consumer Lab and within a few months saw a 21% LDL reduction, and after a year I'm down 28% from beginning to now. The product I found that worked is Cholestene from HPF (also available on Amazon).I don't normally write reviews good or bad, but I felt it was important to share in this case as it's health related and could help others! 1
