Terrible..Terrible... I am so disappointed! It finally arrived and it is broken. It was clearly broken before it was placed in the box. I will definitely be sending this back for another. 1I wouldn't bother to spend one dollar on this Came completely rough, unvarnished, and seems that someone stepped on it (it has a shoe print that can't be washed or removed). Seems that they buy this in huge amounts and they don't even take the time to check that the product is fully varnished, the "fingers" came uneven and unvarnish and when I scratched my husband a piece of chipped wood got on his back. 1Back scratcher? Back scratcher! Back scratcher!!! ...and so much more...!I don't use this as a back scratcher for a HUMAN. My dogs LOVE this used on them and honestly it makes it easier at times to scratch the bigger one. She will just sit there while I'm sitting on the sofar and I don't even have to get up.ANOTHER USE I have discovered is for pellet stoves with hoppers. Oh yeah ! 5Cheaply Made ProductThis is a pretty decent back scratcher. My only complaint is that it is obviously made of cheap material. I got two of them and both of them it was easy to tell that it wasn't exactly the best crafted item. It doesn't have a smooth finish and the wood feels rough to the touch. There are still shavings of wood hanging from the window where it was cut for the scratcher.Although it doesn't look the best, it does exactly what it's supposed to. Overall, it's a decent scratcher but I think you'd be better off saving for something better. 3Splinters!Splinters were on the teeth of the item that were very sharp, also the teeth are so sharp and rough that it is virtually painful to use even through clothing. Not worth the trouble to return. 1A lifesaver when you only have use of one arm!There is always that one spot you can't reach to scratch that drives you nuts then you find yourself scratching your back on a door jamb! I bought this when I was preparing to get rotator cuff (shoulder) surgery. I think I would have gone nuts without it. Some of the medication I was on after the surgery made me itch and since I couldn't use my right arm I was so so so thankful for this back scratcher!. It is really long so it will reach anyplace you need it to! I think every household needs a few of these. My husband uses it also. 5Poorly doneI didn't expect a lot for $5 and that is exactly what I got.The finish of the product is not acceptable. Every 'finger' knuckle has a layer of splinters on it. Can they be sanded down? Yes. Can it be refinished? Yes. Should that be necessary?No.Leave it in the steam longer before you bend it, folks. Even then, FINISH the product to prevent buyers from having to dig out bamboo splinters or destroying clothing. 2
