Needs vented areaNot sure if it works but the smell is STRONG!. Be sure to use it in well ventilated area. My friend already warned me but the smell is still surprisingly hard to take. 2goodThis moxa roll is the best one out of three kinds that I've tried. It's tighter and bigger. Unlike other moxa rolls that might go out, it's reliable until it's burned out.For those who complained about smoking, it's normal for the moxibustion. To reduce smoke, try to use with moxibustion boxes. 5ExcellentVery high quality herb. It's fine texure and tightly wrapped in the paper. That makes the roll burns evenly. Moreover, the roll doesn't create lots of messy ash like low quality rolls make. If you put the roll in the container, the container is still clean after you use it. That saves you a lot of cleaning time. 5Very pure moxaI will buy again. 5SMOKEtoo much smoke. I feel my sinus issue got under control after using it a few times a week. 4something old that still works, who knew?i am totally stimulated by this product. as with all TCM, visualization is important. thought and intent play a major role in "all" healing. i like the freedom TCM offers. i use guasha also and this was something i discovered on the way to... all represent one wanting to take control of one's own life. i do it in the time i would be watching t.v.; i don't own a t.v. ( i just made a choice, it frees up a ton of time.) i can do gua sha while listening to music, this, requires full concentration. it is a sort of meditation. if you take your time, develop the skill of keeping it uniformly away from the body (just ordered the kit with extinguisher and wire holder, kinda excited!) being present and noticing when it heats up and simply move forward. jerking away only means you have to find that distance again. i relate it to walking out on hot pavement or sand. (the pain.) but the skill is like a welder pushing a puddle with that stick. let it "toast" your body and move on, you can sort of "paint" the area if you can maintain the distance. again, concentration is key. otherwise, keep going to see a stranger each time you feel a pain... oh, why 4 stars? just me. and the smoke, smell, get over yourselves! i do mine next to a window, with a small fan blowing at me. i bob and weave the smoke when i am doing it low but hey, adjust, your ancestors did. 4Reduces painI first tried this after an Acupuncture session for endometriosis pain and it worked so well that I ordered these 2 boxes to keep at home. I use them on my arthritic joints as well. One stick will last weeks by the way...They arrived quickly and were well packaged, I highly recommend the Moxa sticks and the seller! 5
