Perfect AssistExcellent product. My husband was going to build a box to help his 93 year old mother in and out of his vehicle, but found this on line at half the cost and weight. She needed a broader base and just a few inches of elevation. Step stools were out of the question as she has a hard time stepping up that far, with this product both feet are where they need to be. We leave it at her house so that anyone that drives her can use it then take it with to use at the destination. This is a sturdy and safe product, perfect for anyone that has difficulty stepping up. 5It warped in 3 months.We don't keep it flat on the floor when we aren't using it, but it is indoors on our porch. I bought this Aug 10 and it is Nov 10 and is warped corner to corner. it still works because we have a very high step into the porch, but if I was balanced challenged it would not be safe. I have a metal small covered bucket with 5 lb of bird feed on it now to see if it unwarps. I would not buy this again, but it is the perfect height to get to that step - especially after grocery shopping. 2Dangerous, UnstableI feel obligated to write this review to warn buyers of the dangers of this unstable step. I purchased this step to give a little help to my wife who just underwent replacement knee surgery. I took the step out of the box set it on the cement garage floor next to the entry, which has a 8 inch rise and stepped on the step to enter the house. I stepped on the edge of the step, which many people will do, and the step tilted back and caused me to loose my balance and catch myself, something my wife could never have done. The problem is the corner supports for this step are higher than the center supports so the step is never stable an able to rock toward the sides unless you step directly on the center portion of the step. This is a very dangerous item and should be removed from Amazon. Please read the other 1 star reviews. 1This is a great productThis half step is just the thing I needed.
