i love this bracei love this brace ....once i got it fitting right. my measurements put me in between sizes. not being able to afford the fully customized version, i took a gamble. i have yet to try cutting or much jumping on it. but the running and jumping i've done on it, knee feels good with it on. my recommendation would be to get the customized fitted version. that way you're getting the most this brace has to offer. 5All ligaments torn, very stable with this brace!Extremely useful and stable knee brace, it made my knee very stable and I walk very smooth now. Combined with my insightful AFO + foot drop flexor. I restored my regular daily walking. I fully advise this brace, I am having all my 4 ligaments completely torn and I have no issues walking with this brace. If it can stable my walking on this condition, it would stable any other severe ligaments injury. 5We went by the size chart the company provided and it was too small.Ordered this for our daughter, who recently tore her ACL, MCL and meniscus in her knee during a basketball game. We ordered this to help her keep her knee stabilized while she waits to have surgery, and also for after she recovers for playing basketball. We measured exactly as told, and the brace was too small when she tried it on. The size chart states that a size "Small" is up to 18.5 inches for the thigh diameter (measured 6 inches above the middle of the knee cap). Her diameter is 17.5 inches- and the hard, plastic part across the front of the thigh was not nearly wide enough- it pinched into her thigh on both sides and would not lay against her skin. We put it on exactly as the directions instructed to. Had to send it back. Very frustrating, because we paid extra for quicker shipping because she was going on a field trip with her class and the extra support would have been nice. Now we have to return it, and we lost the money we paid for faster shipping- even though we went by the size chart provided. For this price, I would have expected a much better fit. 2Magic leg!I can t say enough good things about this knee brace. I injured my PCL 2 weeks before I was supposed to go on a bull elk hunt in Nevada back country. I could barely go up stairs and couldn t put pressure on my injured leg. I received the brace quickly from this company and put it on. The difference was Night and Day! I felt like my leg was no longer injured. I harvested a large elk on very steep mountains, it took 3 people 12 hrs to pack that animal off the mountain carrying an average of 100 lbs worth of gear and meat on our backs and my knee had no trouble what so ever.Do yourself the big favor and go with this brace. It s well worth the price tag and then some. 5Good quality but didn t fit my leg rightI had a 3rd degree MCL year and needed a brace for gym & skiing. Unfortunately This brace didn t workout for me due to it sliding down my leg and not matching up properly to my knee. I had to return it BUT, I will say, the quality is strong and made well and the company has excellent customer service so returning it was easy and painless. 4Get oneMy son plays high school football and hyper extended his knee in a game and this seemed to work great for him until he tore the acl in the knee he wasn t wearing it, donjoy has great products and can t wait for him to get fitted for the better ones they have 5The best part, is I was going to be charged ...Finally! I have finally found a brace that I can use for work and running again. The best part, is I was going to be charged anywhere from $500-$800 dollars by my insurance for the same brace, granted a co pay would've covered some of it, but still. Nevertheless, so far so good! 5Enjoying life with less knee pain.I have purchased several knee braces over the last month. All have failed to do what I needed. This knee brace was the exception. 12 hours of work including climbing stairs and carrying 3 gallons of water. I was amazed at how much difference this brace made. It didn't solve the problem but sure did make it a lot less of an issue. Don't worry about the cost ... it is more than worth it. Thank you donjoy for making this available to us on Amazon. This brace is almost perfect... just needs slight improvement on some sharp edges. I minimized the irritating edge with added Velcro in the offending areas. Also the bottom portion seemed a bit loose. The straps were great except for the bottom strap. Almost got it ... but it is slightly long with not enough to attach correctly. Even with all of that... hands down the best Forrest Gump brace I have been able to find. Skinny those plastics a bit donjoy and no one would even know if us users of it had a brace on. Most of the people I work with didn't notice it.. until I sat down. Users if you are descreet about where you park your tail... well most likely no one will even see it on you. Full pants needed.. no spray on jeans, cause that won't work. Finally, of course you have to wear loose fitting pants or a long dress for the ladies to keep it out of sight on the job or out on the town. The limp I had is much less visible... I almost stride with a extra confident looking walk. I won't be speed walking in this but definitely can do more than I was able too with the standard knee sleeve or reinforced knee brace with plastic on either side of it. Walgreens sales those last ones mentioned. Don't waste your time on cheap. Even $40 is still cheap when you are dealing with knee, ligament, or other joint issues in the leg. So do I recommend that you spend $300... well I did. Best investment in my wellbeing I have made. Now maybe I can heal up and cast off this brace but if not ... I will get another when this one can't be fixed. Enjoying life with less knee pain thanks again Donjoy. 4Not worth the money!This knee brace is very irritating. No matter how tight the straps are tightened the brace continues to slide down my leg. Having to readjust the knee brace continually during the day. 1Good braces, incorrect products/descriptions - Updated: Donjoy support is GREAT!We ordered the left Combined Instability (CI) brace for my wife and she loved it, so we then ordered the right CI brace for her, however the right version did not come with the front strap directly above the knee, as shown in the attached image.Amazon's picture for the left CI brace shows the strap but does NOT show it for the right CI brace. We contacted Donjoy and they indicated that the right CI brace should include this strap. We are now working with Donjoy to get this issue corrected and they are suggesting an alternative (and apparently upgraded) brace called the Renegade.As of this posting the Donjoy store still shows the right CI brace as not including the correct strap, so at this point if you were ordering the right CI brace I would assume you'll be getting one without the strap.My wife has indicated that the brace without the strap is much less effective for her, it doesn't provide the same level of stabilization and it has a tendency to 'wander' and have to be readjusted frequently. She has hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrom (EDS) so she needs the combined instability support.So, five stars for the left CI brace, zero stars for the incorrectly described/sold right CI brace, plus a half-star for Donjoy support working to make it right puts this at three stars. I'll also come back and update this once we get the Renegades (which don't appear to be available on Amazon).UPDATE: So we worked with Donjoy support and they replaced both of these braces with a pair of Renegades, and my wife LOVES them. They look and feel better for her, and we appreciate Donjoy making things right. HOWEVER, as of this writing (several months later) the Amazon listing still shows the incorrect image for the right CI brace (missing strap on front above knee), which I assume means they would still be shipping the incorrect Legend braces. If you can find (and afford) the Donjoy Renegade braces we highly recommend them as an alternative to these Legend braces. 3
