I have found in the past that most diabetic socks run small.4Do as they should.Knocking off one star due to being sooo expensive. Not sure why it has to be this way. They are good ln that they have no bands (like extra elastic to keep them up) which because my husband has lymphodema and swelling is important. They are a bit in thin side. He actually wears compression hose under them so that is what people see and he doesn t worry about the panty hose look when he sits down lol4... time I have ordered these socks because they are amazing. I have peripheral neuropathy & wear a size ...This is the third time I have ordered these socks because they are amazing. I have peripheral neuropathy & wear a size 8 women's. It is difficult for me to find ankle socks are not too tight around the ankle. These leave no marks at all. Because I tend to walk in the yard without shoes they get dirty & after several washes w/o bleach I tend to toss them (OCD?) and just order more because the price is so good. Shipped fast & package carefully. Thank you A+++5NOT IMPRESSED! ***UPDATED****UPDATE MID JAN. 2016Good news they no longer leave a ring on my ankles after many washes! No holes, holding up well.Still bad, they are not a no show. More like an ankle sock still, I wear men's 9-10 shoe depending.. and always bought 10-13 size socks, back before they became universal one size fits all in regular socks. & worse they are much much cheaper now, but they didn't shrink lol 3/5 - 4/5I Only have worn 2 pair and already not impressed. Right now I have very little swelling on my feet/ankles, non-pitting and mine are not large sized unless they are swollen.. I bought the no show ankle diabetic socks. Pro's - they are a bright white. First washing they did not shrink.Con's - they left a ring around my ankle worse than my hanes regular ankle socks when I have minor, barely any swelling...and they cost more! They are not "no shows". I shouldn't have washed the 3 set of pairs b4 I tried them out...my bad.very disappointed! Would not recommend over any pair of regular socks bought at Walmart : (4Exactly what I was looking for.I deal with neuropathy, and need to wear socks 24/7 for comfort, especially at night when I'm trying to sleep. The Compression socks that I wear in the daytime work well, but you can't wear those 24/7 without causing other problems. I've experimented with many types of socks for night use without much success... until now.The size I got (13-15) fits comfortably on me. The socks aren't too warm, giving me just the right amount of heat retention for my comfort. Having them in the minimalist short style works out well, because they don't overheat my ankles and calves.I won't wear these during the daytime, as they aren't really suitable for that, for me at least. But they are perfect night socks to keep me from waking up with ice feet, or not getting to sleep at all because my feet are overheated. They were literally exactly what I wanted and needed for this problem, and I'm happy to have found them.5great socksI have been buying these socks for 5 years now. I love them. They do run a bit small but they fit perfect on me. If your size is that the limit for the sock, i would recommend buying a little bigger.5Too tight :-(Not what I had hoped they would be.I am not diabetic but started wearing "diabetic socks" after open heart surgery a few years ago left me with a "veinous deficiency" in my legs causing my shins/ankles to swell after a long day on my feet at work.I used to wear regular "crew" socks with no problems but after that surgery I found them to be too tight and digging marks into my ankles such that I actually made vertical cuts through the binding parts of all my socks that hold them up to avoid that. Then I stumbled on "diabetic socks" at local Dollar Stores - low cut ankle type - and decided to give that a try and found they worked GREAT. Not tight at all yet still hold up on my ankles. No godawful & painful deep indentations anymore. To my dismay lately though starting about a month or so ago, all of the DollarStores in the area changed those socks to some other brand/type/design. The old ones were sized 10-13 but the new ones are something like 12-14. Whatever they are they do not fit well at all.So I decided to search the web & Amazon for another type of diabetic ankle sock, which led me to these. And I find that they are just as tight as my old crew socks. I can't wear these without having to make vertical cuts through the way too tight part that is the elastic band. It's like wearing a tiny rubber band around my ankles. Just horrible..Back to the drawing board....1My friend feet thanks youI purchased this for a friend that s diabetic. He works in a warehouse and wears steel toed boots. He complained about his feet hurting and not having comfortable socks. He says the compression definitely helps. And getting 12 pair is a great.5CheapThese say size 13-15. I am a size 13 and they hardly fit. Very thin. Wouldn't buy again.2Expected Less, Got MoreI looked at many pairs of diabetic socks (including the more costly Dr. Scholl's) before I purchased these. I was concerned, after reading some of the reviews (for ankle and crew cut), that these socks were so cheaply made that they would (as others claimed) fall apart when putting them on. This is most certainly NOT the case. If you're the type of person who forcefully wrangles on socks, maybe these aren't for you.Yes, these socks are thinner than the average sock. But, not by much.Yes, it's probable that after a year of wearing and washing these I'll need to purchase more. But, if you're washing machine/dryer goblin eats socks like mine does, you're probably needing to replace socks regularly anyway. For the price, quality, and quantity - this is an excellent purchase. They work well and are comfortable around the ankle. And, for a year of wear, it's certainly more cost effective and logical than buying a singular pair of Scholl's for 6-7 dollars only to misplace/lose one of the socks later.5
