Meh.Reasons why I would not purchase this product again:- Adhesive is crap. Even after proper preparation of the skin (clean, dry, wiped down with alcohol, dry) to which it it is being applied, I was lucky if it would stay stuck through the day (if applied in the morning after waking).. So about 8 hours... Lucky if it even that long.- Not only was the adhesive crap, but the only exudate these things would absorb, was what moisture my skin produced in the form of sweat... Yes, just your typical amount of sweat was enough for these bad boys to call it quits, much less if you actually tried applying one to a wound that is producing even the most minimal amount of exudate. Yeah, not happening.-The strange not smooth texture, I'm guessing intended to mimic surrounding skin? Yeah, it just looks and feels weird.- The color is very, very, yellow. While this may be suitable for your skin tone, it caused the dressing to stand out and give the appearance of what I can only describe as "localized jaundice". But again, ymmv.- Lastly, the edges are not tapered. Personally, I like my hydrocolloids with a nice taper to the edge so they blend in with the surrounding skin a little better, then they don't look so obvious. These babies are obvious as hell. Which, I suppose isn't a factor for everyone, but if you're going to be using these for facial application or another equally conspicuous area of your body, you might want to keep this in mind.- Cost. For having as many pitfalls as theze do, they sure do command a hefty price tag.For me, these failed to meet my needs, as well as expectations in pretty much every way. Two stars as opposed to one because I'm trying to give it the benefit of a doubt with regards to meeting needs other than what I needed these for. 2Healing patches ridden with dark magic. This is why cyclists shave their legs. Two days ago, this was still bleeding through the bandage until I purchased Duoderm to place on the roadrash. If you ever have roadrash , I HIGHLY recommend this product. The second picture goes from top to bottom1) Deep nasty rash that typically bled through dressings until I could completely seal it with Duoderm2) Pretty nasty rash that bled through older dressings, but I could never keep sealed with a smaller Duoderm patch3) The not so nasty rash that I covered with dressing that shifted under the wrap and scabbed over before getting Duoderm so I never put it on.It's unbelievable how fast the leg and top one have healed. I have another HUGE rash on my butt which took the most damage in the crash, but I'm going to give it a few more days under the patch. I will say I went from limping because of the tugging of the skin on my butt to practically feeling fine the next morning with full mobility after using this patch. I could even finally shower after a few days of apprehension. Seriously, this product is unreal. Most pharmacies near me didn't carry it, and if they will order it, they'd charge almost double the price of it on here with one day shipping. 5Mixed Feelings...I want to address a couple things bc I ve used bandages like this from other brands before so I feel like I can give a good assessment.1. Thin....debatable. But the definition of thin can vary from person to person...but IMO...I wouldn t call it thin but surely thinner than standard.2. It s uncomfortable at times to wear especially in the heat. This is the nature of having this type of bandage. Just something to be aware of.3. I didn t find these to be sticky enough. Even upon application. The instructions ask that you tape down the edges. I ve had similar bandages where that was notrequired or a part of the instructions.4. Lifting is an issue but this is partlyBc I didn t follow instructions to tape the edge. It s principle, ok? Tape isn t going toLast that long anyway, retaping over and over to avoid lifting is ridiculous. The lifting causes it to collect color from fabrics, dirt, etc. it will stay on though, I ll give it that.5. The instructions say keep dry . Guess showers are optional when using this product. That said I ve worn these in the shower, they hang on but this could be contributing to the lifting as well.6. You can cut these and apply it in smaller pieces. That s a win!7. They are almost transparent but more like a skin color. It s hardly noticeable. It has a texture to it that also lets it hide better. Love this. Best brand I ve used so far when it comes to this.8. They re tough, I might be a misuser/abuser but the product has held up minus some minor lifting.9. Also the price is right for these types of bandages.Verdict: good product, could be improved but worth the money if you follow instructions. If you can t, I d probably suggest something else. 4Using for acne. These are the best.I've used corsx acne dots before. Then someone said nexcare ones are better, so I tried those. Then, ofc someone had to tell me that duoderm dressings trumps over the other two and I'm wasting my money, so I bought this after I finished the nexcare ones and THEY WERE RIGHT. These are the best! I am highkey salty and feel ripped off now that I'm using these. I put a pic of the nexcare sheet next to a duoderm sheet. You only get one sheet with 30 stickers in the nexcare versus a whopping 10 sheet pack from the duoderm. Look how tiny that sticker sheet is to the duoderm. What a rip off. The duoderm is thinner, you can cut the size to your own liking, and they actually adhere better to your skin and work better at sucking out the gunk. Honestly, just get these if you're getting them for acne. You are wasting your money otherwise. 5These are better than the "bubble bandaids" and can be cut to ...These are better than the "bubble bandaids" and can be cut to the size needed to cover a wound of almost any kind. Body heat allows them to "meld" to the surface and stay inin even odd shaped prominences such as knuckles. They generally stay on through at least a few showers if not longer, leave in place as long as it is intact and you should see a fairly dramatic change within 24-72 hours. The price is outstanding if you consider that one package of four to five very small and odd shaped bubble bandages cost $5-$9 and these can be cut into any shape or size needed. Please read the instructions as I this is a medical grade item and following directions and knowing when it is or is not appropriate for any wound is important. Great purchase every first side kit should have. 5These hydrocolloid dressings are great. I chewed up the end of my index ...These hydrocolloid dressings are great. I chewed up the end of my index finger with a rotary saw. I didn't get to the bone but sliced down the middle of the tip into the nail (3/16" wide gap) and took off a third of the nail (stupidity and working too fast). I never got any stitches, probably could have used a couple. I cleaned the wound with a mild detergent solution (no antiseptics) and put on a hydrocolloid dressing. For the next 7-8 weeks I would change the dressing about every 4 days ( It would usually start to "stink" after 4 days). After a couple of weeks I would cut the dressings in 2 and only use half of each one when I changed dressings. The dressings are absolutely waterproof but they breathe. At each change the wound which looked like a bit of raw hamburger at the start looked slightly better. Had a lump like growth of skin on the top of where my nail was removed and the cut gap was coming together, being bridged with fresh skin. At the end of 7 weeks the gap was closed with no scar visible and I had normal feeling in the tip of my finger. The nail was formed and the little growth of flesh was less than the size of a pea. I stopped using the dressing and within a week the little growth had dried up and came off (with a little prodding). Final result is you cannot tell my finger was injured. The theory is, the moist environment allows the body to move in the building blocks (cells, enzymes) needed for repair. No iodine or antiseptics, just soapy water or a mild saline solution for cleaning since the antiseptics would hinder the natural response of the body. ( you have to be vigilant at examining the wound to make sure no infection gets a foothold......if it does, get it treated). The body is pretty good at healing if given the chance which is what the hydrocolloid wet environment provides. The "stink" is from the dead cells that you wash away when you change dressings....the online literature says change dressings every 4-7 days. I was impressed with these having not even heard of hydrocolloid before my injury.....from "hamburger" to no scar , without stitches in 7 weeks. 5Sanity SaverI have been using ConvaTec DuoDERM Extra Thin CGF Dressings 4 X 4 Inches since June 2017 for PPPP (Palmo Plantar Pustular Psoriasis). It is hard enough to find answers and medicine that actually works for this horrible auto immune disease but to find something to get you through the day... well, that's priceless.Pros: Each 4x4 sheet can be trimmed to fit any area (heels, toes, the whole sole of your foot). The extra thin feels like a second skin. Total collusion. I can keep it on for 1-2 days and even go through the shower comfortably. The blisters and dry skin that comes with PPPP are still there, still happening but I can walk.Cons: The down sides aren't many - peeling it off may sometimes take more than just dead skin. You just have to be patient and careful. The only other downside is that all of my socks are being ruined but I can live with that and purchase new socks.I highly recommend ConvaTec DuoDERM Extra Thin CGF Dressings 4 X 4 Inches for PPPP and I will continue to use it as long as they make it because the best that can happen is that I get my PPPP in remission. It's my new normal and this product saves my sanity. 5Great for acne!!I got these hydrocolloid bandaid to cover acne that had come to a head (after lancing). These are AMAZING and way CHEAPER than the hydrocolloid circles marketed towards acne. These are thin and stay in place the whole night. Theure also discrete enough to wear alone and are only noticeable up close.Once a pimple is lanced I simply cut a piece of the bandaid big enough to cover the area. I've used 1/2 bandaid, these are huge! 5Helps with acne!!!!!!First off I want to say shipping was extremely fast came days before expected delivery date. I recently purchased acne dots that are supposed to do the same thing which they did. Unfortunately the acne dots don t last long I went through the box in 2 days so I thought i d try something different. I remembered learning about this type of bandage in nursing school. Although I haven t encountered them since graduating I figured what the heck. I cut the bandage to fit the areas of acne on my face and applied them at 11am yesterday. When I awoke this morning it had pulled all of the nasty puss and exudate to the surface which I was able to wipe away with witch hazel. This stuff is a god send. I suffered from acne at age 14 and now pushing 40 it had returned with a vengeance. Topical acne treatments with peroxide have left black scars on my face related to hyper pigmentation. Which is common for black skin. I wish I had thought of this months ago but thank goodness I found this before it got any worse. I know that this is for pressure sores, wounds, and ulcers but trust it works for acne to avoid popping pimples and scarring. One bandage goes along way for acne purposes. 5CHEAP AND AWESOME! Had some very sore stage 1+ bed sores ...Expensive? NO!! CHEAP AND AWESOME!Had some very sore stage 1+ bed sores on my bottom. Suffered. Saw Doctor. Told me to sit only on a straight chair and stay out of my recliner. Researched and found info on MERK MANUAL and they pointed to this type of dressing. At that point I( really didn't care what it cpst I ordered the same day prime. Put one on and after 2 days got concerned so I peeled itoff. NO PAIN PEELING. The sore spots a GREATLY IMPROVED. I also put and a few pieces of this tape https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003MWUKI0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also an AWESOME product. Amazon is half the price of the local drug stores. By next week my bottom will be like new. Both are products worth buying. 5
