Works but not long lasting if you sweat...I have De Quervain's Tenosynovitis and began using kinetic tape to support the area because it is less restrictive than a brace. I work in a plant nursery and I get sweaty, wet and dirty pretty frequently. If I apply this tape in the morning while my skin is dry and clean, it will usually last about half a day before it starts to peel off. If I use it during a time when I won't be getting sweaty/dirty, it can last a whole day For the price, if you need a lighter duty kinetic tape, this is a good choice. However, if you are very active or get wet/dirty/sweaty, you may want to invest in the KT Pro tape (or comparable). Though it costs about twice as much, it can last multiple days through sweat etc. 3Great when used correctlyComparing this to what the physical therapy group used (which did not come off unless I pulled it off). I'm using for kneecap support. This product holds very well when I apply it the same way it was applied by the physical therapist (sitting on floor/table/bed with knee bent at about a 90 degree angle. Also, skin must be dry, lotion-free, and shaved. Initially, I applied it while standing with my foot raised about 2 ft off the ground (to create the knee bend), but found that the tape wouldn't stay on for even a day. Additionally, I'm allergic to latex and this tape doesn't even cause redness after four days. 4Not really worth the hypeIn ready about this product and viewing several videos on the manufacturer's website, I really thought this would hold up fairly well to water, sweat and everyday wear.I used this on my ankle (an old hiking injury) and I found the level of compression great! Following the videos on their website, I had my wife wrap this as close to the video as possible. It stated that it could hold up in water, shower, etc and would stay attached to skin or itself for a long time, days even. My results weren't close. After half a day of light home duties and everyday type activities (including a shower) the tape was already starting to peel off.After that, I was far more careful to get a truly accurate wrap but without scissors and someone to hold it for you carefully, the tape tends to come off and then stick to itself which really renders that part useless. Even being careful with my wife's assistance, I got the same results.Maybe if it was using it on a body part that did not come in contact with anything else, to whatever degree, perhaps it would work better. For everything else, a regular first aid/athletic compression tape works just as well, probably better. Of course, I'm not a professional kinesiologist or sports therapist but for an average guy my results weren't so promising. 23B TAPE Wins battle of the Kinesio'sI tried three different types of Kinesio tapes and rate this along with "Kinesio Tex Gold" preferable to the "Rocktape" for my applications which are for knees and hips. I am a larger man than most people using the tapes so the heavier tape is MY preference and for many women who more often use these tapes, I would think they like the lighter Rocktape. The best part of these is the psychological lift they give you in helping sore areas to feel like they are getting renewed support but I would still have may doubts about the long term aid they might deliver. My recommendation is do what we did, try all three and see what you like, they all worked fine in staying in place during my workouts. The 3B TAPE is my first choice of the three. 5My first go at this tapeI have never tried any other brand so have nothing to compare it to so keep that in mind. It is very pretty and applies easily. I was really upset when it started peeling off after my run. I really thought it was supposed to last longer. I ran last night with it and wanted to run this morning without taking it off bc it is a little time consuming and it started peeling off after I got home from the pm run. Needless to say it is hard enough getting up without having to cut and apply sticky tape. It definitely helped and could tell a difference in my running. I have an IT Band injury and typically it aches within minutes and causes me to be unable to walk easily for a few days after. As soon as I pulled the tape off (which didn't hurt but didn't feel great-feel bad for guys on that one!) I felt the dull ache.I may try another brand to see if one holds up longer than one run but it is def worth the 4 stars I gave it! 4Other options performed better.Product has some pros but more cons. I like that it was inexpensive and one continuous strip which allowed me to get custom sizes IF needed (only got a long piece once). The cons consisted of poor tape adhesion time after time. I taped my knee for an IT band issue and the tape lasted 2 miles tops before coming off. I can say i did use it for a shoulder issue and that stayed put a lot longer so that made up for some of my troubles. If you need it for high heat, sweat or lots of movement I would go to a different brand (Strenghtape or KT). I wish it was pre-cut like other brands, because you can get consistent results. I will finish my roll for other areas, but for my knee, I am going to one that is proven for adhesion. 3Okay, but not as adhesive as other brandsThis kinesiology tape was okay. The cost was good compared to other tapes and it doesn't have any writing on it, which I appreciate if it's going to be somewhere somewhat visible. The color was as pictured, which was great for my skin tone because it was less obvious when worn on my foot with flats in a professional setting despite being visible. However, the major problem with it I had was that it was less adhesive than other more expensive brands I've used. I use it primarily on my foot, so it endures a lot of rubbing from the sole and side of the shoe. It would generally last at least one day of wear and I could occasionally stretch it to two days use. It was also not very waterproof, and at least some of the edges would peel off with a shower. 4You get what you pay for...I bought this to help with my Plantar Fasciitis. I love that it's one continuous roll and it has cutting guides on the paper backing! The color is great also. And when worn this tape works magic for my plantar fasciitis! The difference is amazing! Unfortunately the adhesive just doesn't cut it. I tried everything to get this to stick for more than 4 or 5 hours, following all the instructions and tips. The packaging claims you can keep this on for 12 days! I was hoping for at least 2 or 3 but after a few hours the edges start to curl up, the tape starts to bunch and stick to my socks and when I remove my socks and shoes the tape peels off also. If the adhesive was stronger this would be a great product! Sadly the $9.95 roll won't go far. You're better off spending a little more on a better brand. 3This tape works just as good as the more expensive tapes for low to moderate ...VERY FAST SHIPPING! Arrived in less that 24 hours!This tape works just as good as the more expensive tapes for low to moderate activity as long as you prep the skin very well and apply properly. The adhesive is not as intense as other tapes and it seems to cause less skin irritation. I enjoy using this kind clinically for sports injuries / everyday use.For more intense activity where you're sweating intensely/ swimming/ game day, I prefer Rock Tape, since the adhesive is stronger. 5Compared with my last order it is terrible. I had Kinesio Tex gold before and it is a 5 STAR product. I could not find it when I ordered the Scientific option so I decided to try it. Wish I had returned it but I didnt start using it until the other was gone and then it was too late. I have likely only used 2 feet of it so most of it is intact 2
